POTD 104/365 – Mazzy
Chilling in the front yard at sunset.
POTD 103/365 – Lucky Leap
I came outside one morning to find Lucky, the cat that lives next door, standing on the rim of the birdbath.
By the time I snapped the picture, all you could see was his tail disappearing into the plants below.
POTD 102/365 – Rooftop Beers
Johnny Ballgame invited us over for rooftop beers and take in the sunset last night.
Glorious view…
POTD 101/365 – Ducks
Apparently, it rained today. I work about 20 feet underground, so I never heard the storm.
While I was playing with the dogs this evening, I came upon some ducks, rooting around in the puddles at Snowden School for food.
They weren’t scared of me, but when Jake came close, they flew off in a hurry.
Kath and I ran into this walking back to our car from the Overton Park Crawfish Festival.
I imagined that he was emerging from this mailbox with superpowers to take revenge for the massacre of his extended family.
I’m glad we were headed the other way… 😉
Mazzy and I biked out to Shelby Farms on the Greenline today.
She smiled all the way out and back. Every time we stopped, people wanted to pet her.
POTD 98/365 – Still Missing San Diego
I spent most of Friday upgrading a test ODS database to 8.2. If you don’t know what that means, be thankful…
So, yeah, my mind kept going back to this flower in San Diego.
POTD 97/365 – Oak Alley at Sunset
Rhodes is a beautiful place to play Frisbee with the dogs at the end of the day.
POTD 96/365 – Missing San Diego
Another shot of Coronado Beach. I spent most of Wednesday on a plane, and this was what I was thinking about.

POTD 94/365 – CNI Conference
During Christine Borgman’s talk regarding the future of libraries and the challenges (and opportunities) ahead.
This may be the darkest place I’ve been in San Diego. Good thing the talk was interesting.
Jeff and I skipped across the border for lunch.
POTD 92/365 – Ocean Beach Pier
Despite the cool weather, I really enjoyed the beach.
Here are a couple more snaps from a fun, sunny day in SD.
POTD 91/365 – Biking in San Diego
A beautiful day, though one I would repeat with sunscreen next time.
I rented a bicycle and went up to Balboa Park, over to Mission Bay, along Ocean Beach, to Cabrillo National Monument, and then back downtown to meet Jeff, who flew down from San Francisco for the weekend.
POTD 90/365 – Hayley is Born
Why am above the clouds? Well, technically, I’m on my way to San Diego, but metaphorically, I’m over the moon about my new niece, Hayley Katherine, who was born today.
I wish I could have been there, but I’ll see her soon.
Congratulations to the happy parents, Jaymie and April!
