No, seriously. Bark.
POTD 49/365 – Found iPhone
I found this iPhone near the Rhodes campus today and am trying to track down the owner. (I’ve already left emails for her…)
This is the 2nd valuable thing I’ve found in the past few months while walking around the neighborhood. The other was a wallet full of cash, and I had to wake the whole house near where I found it to locate the owner, who didn’t even seem that happy to get it back. Or maybe he just wasn’t awake yet.
POTD 48/365 – Happy Birthday, Stephen!
Sorry for the dark photo.
POTD 47/365 – Hammock Time
I just squeezed in 15 minutes of hammock time, enough to watch the sun go down.
POTD 46/365 – Little Flower
This is usually a sign of spring – and that we are about 3 weeks from our last snowstorm.
POTD 45/365 – Beautiful Day
Highs in the 60s in mid-February, with clear skies? I’ll take it…
POTD 44/365 – Roo Painting
This is a portion of a 2002 work by our friend Lindsay.
POTD 43/365 – Happy Birthday, Wendy!
And a fun time was had by all…
POTD 42/365 – Gothic Thaw
At first, I thought that this was water, paused. But maybe that is what ice is.
You can see the tiny moon in the deep blue sky behind the Barret Library tower.
POTD 41/365 – Drip, drip
Below freezing and dripping.
We got a couple of inches of snow in Memphis today.
It was still snowing when Mazzy got her walk.
POTD 39/365 – Mouth of the Wolf River
This is the place where the Wolf River drains into the Mississippi.
POTD 38/365 – Snow Lynx?
Some pics around Rhodes College on a day of wet snow.
POTD 37/365 – Lucky and Mazzy
Watching the Super Bowl. Or begging for steak. Or playing with the furry creature.
I really thought Pittsburgh would pull it out.
POTD 36/365 – 4:20
Written above one of the doors at Ernestine and Hazel’s.
I don’t think this references a Bible verse.
POTD 35/365 – Old Tile Floor
This is the old tile floor before the stairs at Ernestine and Hazel’s, which led to the guest rooms of the long-time Memphis brothel. They look original to the building.
POTD 34/365 – Orpheum Theater, Memphis
I was surprised to find out that our house was a couple of years older than the Orpheum, a historic theater in downtown Memphis.
POTD 33/365 – Tigers Game
They lost to Tulsa, unfortunately. Blew a 10-point lead.
Thanks to Dave for the tickets.
These ships that cart tourists up and down the river are all that remain of the paddlewheel floatilla that filled the water around Memphis 150 years ago.
POTD 31/365 – Random Hair Extensions
The hair extensions have been across the street from my house for weeks.
Interestingly, they’ve never blown away or been washed away by rain. By now, I’m having a little experiment to see how long they can withstand the elements.
I’m also wondering how they got there. Did a couple of Moms from Snowden School get into a fight one afternoon, or what?
